Creating panel and Vorlon texs?

Does anybody know where I can find tutorials for making panels and Vorlon texs?

hm.. i think (this is from basic memory of a few shots in the dockingbay), that it's mostly the standard paneel texture, that comes with about any 3d software, and an animated noise map on top of that...

The original panel texture was hand painted, I believe. As for the vorlon ones, they're done using progressive textures (mostly the fractal one). I think Betterspace (http://www.ap3d.com/betterspace/) has a tutorial on making a vorlon beam weapon, which uses some similar texturing techniques to the ship textures, if I recall correctly. Their Whitestar tutorial may also have something handy.

Thanks but I need to also create B5 solar panel texs.Also the site doesn't have the tutorial for vorlon weapons.:(

Really? I'm sure I saw it there... maybe it was somewhere else.
Anyway, the solar panels would also have been hand painted.
