Do I just put the single ship dowloads in the "Mods" folder? Or do they go inside the appropriate race folder in the "ships" folder that appears after downloading the Buda5 mod. I just downloaded a bunch of files from here, haven't tried the game with them yet, and then I noticed the "Ships" folder has seperate folders IN it for the different races (Narn, Centuari, etc.).

I took the intstructions to mean put them in C:/Program files/Infogames/IW2/mods Is that correct?

you just put the zip files in the mods folder. you activate the mods in the extras menu. most of these guys mods replace the command section. so only use 1 of them.

when you activate the mod a discription comes up.

some of the ships like the b5 station eplace ingame ships like the players base or marauder fighters. but like i said it's all in there readme's, it's actually quite simple

lol if u read the FAQ section of the Buda 5 (http://mods.firstones.com/buda5/) main site it tells u what to do ;). just place the downloaded files into the mods directory, don't unzip them... then start the game and activate them from the extra's menu.

OK stupid me, I dowloaded them and then when winzip automatically appears after the DL I unzipped them TO the mods folder, and I DID read the FAQ first too, D'OH.

OK I'll have to delate everything in the mod folder and start over. Is there ANYTHING that is supposed to be in the mods folder with just the game and patch installed? Or am I safe to delete everything in it and re-start? Thanks to everyone.

You don't have to delete anything in the mods folder.

Also you needn't to extract our mods (besides the X-Mas Packet). Simply put - like Alpha Leader already said - the "whole" zip file in the mods folder and select it from the extras screen ingame.

(If you want to extract the zip files make sure it is extracted in a subfolder of the mod folder called the same like the zip file)

But I unzipped them, then put them in the mods folder. The instructions are to NOT unzipp them, correct?

Yes, like I said. For the Single Ship Mods it's recommended to leave them zipped.

The mods also work if they are unzipped into a folder that has the same name as the zip. This doesn't offer any extra benefits and it takes more space, but it works just as well.

Sorry about all these questions. Because I unzipped all the files like a dummy I deleted everything in the mods folder to start again. The Buda5 Xmas pack clearly says to unzipped it into a Buda5-SkGen folder. The question I have is concerning the neccessary files; Buda5 ship pack and the Buda5 ini file. The instructions for those says to do the same as for the scenarios. Does that mean I need to unzipp them into the same Buda5_SkGen folder that I made for the Xmas pack?

Never mind I got it. I'd delete this post if I could so noone bothers with it.
