New to Buda5

Hello, I just discovered the site and B5 mods. I got IW2 awhile ago but never finished it (I'm a diehard gamer but I found the difficulty to be very high). I was searching the web to see if anyone made a B5 mod for Starfleet Command 3 (no luck, but there are some B5 ships made for ST: Bridge Commander I can give anyone interested the link) when I discovered the Buda5 site. Being a big fan of b5 I was psyched (I think B5 is infinately better than any other sci-fi universe).

I have encountered a problem when trying to download some of the larger mods such as the B5 station itself, Centauri Primus, etc. INCREDIBLY long download times. I have a broadband cable commection but am still only getting around 7 kb/sec, the sation would take a few hours at that speed.

My question is whether the bandwidth is always this way or could there be some problem on my end (no problems downloading from other sites). Are there times of the day or night when I might get a speedier connection or are these files available any where else. Thanks to all those who make these mods. I read about a retail B5 game that was being made years ago, it was nearly completed too when the "plug" was pulled. Thanks to all your hard work we fans still get to game in the B5 universe.

Currently the files are only available at this one server. The low speed is caused by the server and not by you. Too many connections IMHO (Sanfam could give more specified infos).

It's always fine to see a new one interested in Buda5 :) .
I think the game you're talking about is "Into The Fire", the publisher was Sierra. The people who tried to save the game build up *this* site (www.firstones.com) and then the many B5 mods arised.

the slow speed is probably caused by many people downloading at the same time. as u can see many things have just been released and everyone is trying to download them at once. give it time, it will speed up.
