I know Ken tried very hard and I know that we all appreciate his efforts. Thanks for all your hard work, I'm sorry it didn't pay off.
Anyway, I should have said something awhile ago when I first noticed a problem. One more thing, don't let this become a debate topic unless you have some obsession with wasting your time. I saw a major mistake in our efforts to revive the game. First of all, Codemasters and their decision alone became our primary concern, letting the possibility of other companies dwindle away to an afterthought. This means that we let the entire future of this game depend on the decisions of a single company. Does that seem like a mistake to you? Once Codemasters became our primary concern, we let the demand go way down by not keeping up our efforts on any other potential publishers. NONE OF THE OTHER PUBLISHERS HEARD A WORD FROM US! We were too busy keeping an eye on every time Ken and Codemasters took a sh!t. Making sure we knew what kind of toilet paper they were using! And I don't want to hear about how our support for Codemasters wouldn't have been as strong, because you all know as well as I do, that is a line of you know what. Lastly, Where is JMS???!!!!!!!! This line about not being able to show any support for the game, and I'm not talking about affiliating himself with Firstones(in case anyone tries to jump on my ass about that). FirstOnes may seem like a large voice to us, but JMS is the only one who could have influence enough to do what is needed. This is not an attack of JMS, so hold on. What I'm saying is that JMS needs to agknowledge the game and show support for it, and not for us, so that again he does not have to affiliate himself with Firstones. He needs to treat the game as though it was important rather than concealing it from view like an illegitimate love child. Mentioning it offchance isn't really what I'd call support. The way things are going, it's going to end up like battlestar gallactica.
One more thing...
I think that it is too late for ITF. Perhaps other incarnations of B5 will be made in the future, but this isn't one of them. Gladly I can say (for myself at least) that I have learned from my mistakes and will move on from here. What I suggest is that you do not focus on a single publisher if you are still determined to get the game done. Keep as many options available as possible, no matter how promissing one of them looks. And if you really want to get noticed, let's find out how much it would cost to get a two-page ad in a game magazine. I say two-page because they're the only ones that get any real attention.
I hope everyone here has a good day
BTW it's finally raining here! http://www.firstones.com/forums/biggrin.gif
