Hee :p

Yeah no previews... to be honest I probably won't listen to it until I've seen the dvd, might spoil things a bit. Its going to be so cool to have new Franke material to listen too. Hopefully it will be worth the long wait!

Excellent, I'm looking forward to listening to this. I remember when we asked him, he said the soundtrack was coming.

Can one of you admins add this product as an Amazon link that supports FirstOnes? Probably right next to the current link Sanfam has setup for the DVD... Thanks!

I'm going to watch the DVD a few more times before I choose to buy the CD. The score reminds me more of the ITF music as some have mentioned. Which is great stuff just different than other B5 music which you can listen too alone and fully enjoy with no context.

Incidentally, the Lost Tales soundtrack is available on iTunes (but, sadly, none of the other B5 soundtracks are. TLT is on a different label). I like that Franke divided up the score by track in this one, instead of stitching everything between the commercial breaks together like on the episodic soundtracks.

Interesting its not on Sonic Images label, maybe its defunct now?

Overall I like the soundtrack, does sound very ITF in parts. I like his use of piano this time round, nice addition.

Too bad he didn't record some "fuller" versions of some tracks :)

Whats Franke up to these days? Does he still work, or is he semi-retired?

Its is a bit short I suppose and quite a few of the tracks are only around 1.20 ish... maybe the next one will have a bit more? I dunno if you go by his IMDB page he's doing stuff but he doesn't appear to be "busy". Maybe he's slowed the pace down a bit.

Hm, he should get himself a new website though.. ;)

I noticed while watching TLT that it was a little ITF'ish

I Like it!

Another thing I noticed while listening to the tracks in more detail was that this cd sounded very Tangerine Dream in places. Ok it would be obvious for some sounds/styles to be in Frankes music since he was in the band but there were a couple of segments that were pure Tangerine Dream to me. And this isn't a criticism, because I thought it was pretty cool.
