could we get organised enough to buy an entire CASE of these The Lost Tales, ( as in an outer of DVDs maybe 20-30, whatever DVD outers contain... :)
Surely we could them get wholesale price. Hmm ?
Does anyone object to getting just the NA american zoned ones ?

I'm in the same boat as Shadowdancer. I assume an order would use on of the banners on the site? Would help knock some cash back our way.

Im thinkin we go hardcore club sort of action.
Sanfam or duly elected rep contacts the distributor and buys a full outer of the required discs, cut out all the middlepersons which means no retail markup at all, which sould make them roughly half price plus whatever we tithe to the cause, plus shipping from whomever is in receipt of the case of DVDs
maybe even go right up the foodchain to warner bros dist to get em
we should have enough sway to get this sort of deal.. they are not likely to want to piss us off...

I'd go for it if we can work out the logistics of the regioning of the DVDs.

How about an Amazon-sponsered link, as well?

no point in Amazon link if Dax is as good as shed sounds, shipping, postage and handling etc and prolly vastly cheaper anyways
Sanfam

Well, Amazon kind of has the free shipping thing... :p
I'm kind of curious as to how we'd be able to undercut someone like Amazon.com.

The site would actually get a surprising amount of money out of everyone buying through an amazon link.

Not just postage, but your country's insane import taxes, too.

If we write "gift" on them instead of the actual cost, they might be fooled..

heh its only going to be my country for another 4 years till i finish uni, then im emigrating!
in principal im still in tho:) i dont mind if it works out a little bit more expensive than buying it in the shops if we get something out of it, but obviously if it is way more then maybe not

Writing gift usually works. CD WOW used to do it for boxset orders. Not sure if they still do though as I haven't had an order from them for a while. But yeah gift should work fine.

But the Amazon link will be good indefinitely, while the supply will be limited if the site directly resells the DVDs.

DOM... did anyone say we couldnt re-instate the Amazon link after the case of first releases is dispersed ?
Would you like to have perhaps the first case off the production line ? :)
It may be possible if we push our case.

Gift marking don't work at least here in Finland, even if it would be without receipt (they ask price for calculating amount of import toll and VAT, 3.5% and 22% which are collected if their total is over 10€) I might need to fetch it from 70km (and three spent hours + 1.25€/liter gas cost) away.
Only surely working option would be that to EU countries they would be posted from inside it.

lie - a flashood, a statement designed to decieve
use one when getting your DVD :D
and surely Santa Claus will deliver to your place, Finland is like totally on the way to/from the North Pole.
I'm sure we can swing something.

On a more general note, is everyone else content with this place just being a matric construct ? No-one wants to make it a little more real ?
DVDs fresh off the press, cloth patches, srickers ? Other wonderful sentiemental trinkets ?
